While there are no shortages of marinas in Montenegro, arguably the greatest of them all is Lustica Bay. Named after the peninsula on which it is built, Lusitca bay offers unparalleled views towards the open Adriatic Sea, offering a seamless blend of Mediterranean architecture and the nature around it.
In 2008, the deal was made between Orascom and Montenegrin’s government about leasing the land on Lustica peninsula for the construction of a vast complex. Like Portonovi and Porto Montenegro, the government choose land that was used by the Montenegrin army and gave it away so that this monumental project can begin. It started out as a luxurious marina village but it constantly expanding. Soon we are expecting to have the first golf course in Montenegro built as part of this complex.
It would take around 1 hour and 30 minutes to get there from Kotor (by boat) but it is a place where you can spend the whole day. At the moment, you have two beaches in the complex – one is part of Chedi hotel and the other one is the marina beach. If weather permits it, you can enjoy sea activities such as SUP, kayaking and underwater scooter exploration. After the beach, you can treat yourself with a meal and a glass of wine in one of its many sea view restaurants.
